Dollar Store Succulent Ball

Did you know that Dollar Tree sells faux succulents? I made a wreath with them in the past that was gorgeous and really well received. So, I decided to use them again and make this succulent ball. I absolutely love how inexpensive and realistic looking they are! Honestly, I don’t think you could find more realistic looking succulents at a lower price! I  grabbed 2 metal hanging baskets, 2 coco fiber liners, 2 bags of floral […]

Chalkboard Window

When life gives you a discarded window, make a chalkboard. Makes perfect sense to me. This chalkboard was super easy to make. I had a lot of fun creating it and deciding what to write. My friends over at Plaid had sent me a few supplies for this project that were really great to work with. First, I cleaned the window pane and frame of my window. Then, I applied my first coat of FolkArt […]

Key Holder

My friend asked me to make him a key holder. He wanted something that would fit in the space between his counter and cabinets in his kitchen. We’re both so pleased with how it turned out! I had a pallet plaque leftover from my Marble Suncatcher project that was the perfect size for this project. Just like with my Marble Suncatcher, the first thing I did was haphazardly stain it using a dark wood stain. My friends […]

Dollar Store Mardi Gras Wreath

With Fat Tuesday coming up next week, I decided to make this colorful Mardi Gras wreath. I picked up the majority of my supplies at Dollar Tree while I was shopping for my  Valentine’s wreath. I love how colorful it is! This wreath offers a lot of personality for little buck. If you think this wreath is fun check out my other wreaths made with dollar store items- $11 St. Patricks Day Wreath, Kitchen Wreath, Succulent Wreath, Halloween Wreaths. […]

Dollar Store Valentine’s Wreath

This vibrant pink rose wreath is perfect for Valentine’s Day. I created it using items I picked up at Dollar Tree. While shopping, I grabbed a styrofoam wreath, nine faux pink rose bunches, two packs of pink glittery heart picks and a Valentine’s scarf. You’ll also need a hot glue gun/glue sticks and a pair of scissors for this project. First, remove all the roses from their stems. They just pop right off. Begin poking […]

Conversation Heart Box

Conversation Heart candies are a must for Valentine’s Day. They are just so cute! A few years back, I displayed them in this Conversation Heart and Rose Arrangement. This year, I decided to encase them in this heart shaped box. I picked the heart shaped wood box at Target for $5. I’m sure you can find something similar at a craft store. I painted it Green. I love this FolkArt Matte Acrylic Paint color. I didn’t […]

Dollar Spot Heart Door Hanging

With Valentines Day fast approaching, I thought it would be lovely to create something pretty for my front door. This inexpensive succulent heart door hanging came together in no time. I gathered all of my supplies for this project at Target in the Dollar Spot section. I picked up the painted heart plaque and succulent garland for $3 a piece. The pink pom trim was only $1. I only ended up using one of them for this […]

Starburst Mirror

If you’ve got a blank space on the wall and are on a tight budget, this Starburst Mirror project may be perfect for you. Although, its made out of popsicle sticks, I think its incredibly stylish. Plus, it can be customized to match any home. I really love the natural color of the wood, but it could also be stained a darker color or spray painted. Gold would be fantastic! For my project, I used […]

Ice Lanterns

The temperature here has been frigid lately. It’s going to stay under 20 degrees for at least another week. Ugh. However, its the perfect weather for ice projects. I’ve been wanting to make ice lanterns for some time now. I like to make ice projects every winter. My first one was this beautiful ice wreath. Fun fact: The ice wreath was also my very first post on this blog. These lanterns are created very similarly […]

Disco Reindeer Christmas Tree

About a week ago, I posted on Facebook asking if anyone still would like a Christmas tree who hadn’t decorated one. I said I would provide all the decor (excluding lights) and only had a few requirements for the tree itself. My friend Adam ended up being the recipient of the tree that I have named Disco Reindeer. I’m so pleased with how it turned out…finally. Yes, finally. So, Disco Reindeer was originally going to […]
