Holiday Magnets

Hey, Gators! I just had to share these adorable holiday magnets I made with you. I created them with a lot of the same materials I used for my Sparkly Holiday Candles. A set of these would make a great handmade gift. I used pieces from a generic block stacking game as the base for my magnets. I painted the sides of each one in various FolkArt Colorshift paints. Then, I added a layer of FolkArt…Continue reading Holiday Magnets

Ice Lanterns

The temperature here has been frigid lately. It’s going to stay under 20 degrees for at least another week. Ugh. However, its the perfect weather for ice projects. I’ve been wanting to make ice lanterns for some time now. I like to make ice projects every winter. My first one was this beautiful ice wreath. Fun fact: The ice wreath was also my very first post on this blog. These lanterns are created very similarly…Continue reading Ice Lanterns

Disco Reindeer Christmas Tree

About a week ago, I posted on Facebook asking if anyone still would like a Christmas tree who hadn’t decorated one. I said I would provide all the decor (excluding lights) and only had a few requirements for the tree itself. My friend Adam ended up being the recipient of the tree that I have named Disco Reindeer. I’m so pleased with how it turned out…finally. Yes, finally. So, Disco Reindeer was originally going to…Continue reading Disco Reindeer Christmas Tree

Pineapple Christmas Tree

Almost every year, I decorate my friends Christmas tree. We’ve done a lot of wild themes over the years. This year he requested his tree be decorated like a giant pineapple and covered in fruit! He loves pineapples. It’s his thing, currently. He has pineapple decor, tote bags and clothing. So, this pineapple tree is very fitting. At first, I wasn’t sold on this idea, but he insisted. I’m glad he did! I love how…Continue reading Pineapple Christmas Tree

Window Wonderland

This year I decided to create my own holiday windows after being disappointed by the Macy’s State Street Chicago rehash of their 2016 holiday windows. In this mini-doc, Enero from beautifully captured the creation process and the final window unveiling. My intention is/was to bring some joy and magic to all who pass by. I hope this video delights and inspires you this holiday season. This project is very special to me. Please share.

If you’re looking for a quick, festive and inexpensive centerpiece for the holidays, this candy cane vase DIY is perfect for you! It’s so easy to throw together. First, wrap around the top and bottom of a cylinder vase (or jar) that is slightly smaller than a candy cane with double sided tape. Then, place a rubber band around the center of the jar. Begin placing cane canes underneath the rubber band and pushing them…Continue reading Candy Cane Vase

Bling Lollipops

It’s the holidays! Bring on the bling with these gem covered lollipops. Aren’t they delicious?! First, trace a circle onto a piece of foam board. I traced around a salad plate. I saved some money on my foam board by picking it up from the dollar store. Carefully cut out the circle using an utility knife. Mark the center with a pencil. Use the center point as a guide to draw on candy swirls. Try…Continue reading Bling Lollipops
