Cocktail Umbrella Wreath

In honor of the unofficial start of summer, I crafted up this cocktail umbrella wreath. It’s so simple to put together and all the supplies can be found at Dollar Tree. Ok, so, maybe I  did a little more than make a wreath. I mean, if you give a mouse a cookie…! I just couldn’t help myself. The wreath pairs so well with my Sunshine Banner and Beach Ball Lanterns. Throw in a couple decorative items and a…Continue reading Cocktail Umbrella Wreath

Watercolor Paper Lanterns

My friends over at Plaid kindly sent me a couple watercolor paints a few weeks back. I thought it would be cool to decorate a paper lantern light strand with them. I haven’t used watercolor paints since I was a kid. While painting I began to have wonderful memories of watercolor painting with my grandma. I’m pretty certain she introduced me to watercolors. This project was a lot of fun! I used FolkArt Watercolor acrylic paints…Continue reading Watercolor Paper Lanterns

Pallet Mural

This giant pallet sat in the alley by my place for weeks. I kept telling myself that I didn’t need it. Days kept going by and then I thought if it is there tomorrow, I’ll take it. Well, tomorrow came and now I have one hell of a mural. It’s definitely giving me a reason to jump for joy! I love how it compliments the garden. Now, I’m aware that you may not be able…Continue reading Pallet Mural

Rope Rug

I was in need of a small rug. So, in true DIY’er fashion, I made one. I love the bold look of it. It’s almost hypnotizing! You don’t need much to make this rug. Just lots of hot glue, 100 feet of polypropylene rope, a piece of felt (for the underside of the rug), scissors, a marker and spray adhesive. For the ten thousandth time, please forgive my dirty glue gun! Years of use! To…Continue reading Rope Rug

Tomato Cage Foot Stool

I was looking at my Tomato Cage Marbleized Side Table the other day and trying to think of other ways to use tomato cages unconventionally. Before creating my side table, I created a Plant Stand using a tomato cage. It dawned on me that if I cut the cage down to the second rung, it would be the perfect height for a foot stool! I’ve always wanted to make a foot stool. I’m beyond pleased with how it turned…Continue reading Tomato Cage Foot Stool

Dollar Store Faux Wood Vase/Centerpiece

If you’re in need of a centerpiece for an upcoming dinner party or event thats stylish, but doesn’t break the bank, this arrangement may be just the thing. It’s very easy to put together. Everything for this centerpiece can be purchased at Dollar Tree except the fresh flowers. In store, you’ll want to pick up a few glass cylinders (varying heights), faux wood contact paper, a bag of moss and various rocks. I grabbed the…Continue reading Dollar Store Faux Wood Vase/Centerpiece

Sunshine Banner

The other day while I was perusing the aisles at Dollar Tree, I came across these cheery sunshine cutouts in the teacher section. Unless you are a teacher, you most likely overlook this section, but it is filled with super cute cutouts that are perfect for banner making. Perhaps, I was drawn to them since there’s been a serious lack of sunshine here lately. I just love their big smiles. I swooped them up along…Continue reading Sunshine Banner

Dollar Store Garden Party Placeholders

I’m hoping that if I continue making spring crafts, spring will actually arrive! Here, its currently snowing outside, but inside I’m having one hell of a spring garden party. I made these adorable flower pot placeholders using supplies I picked up at Dollar Tree. They’re perfect if you are hosting a spring gathering. Your guests can take them home and later plant the attached seeds! Ok, heres what I picked up at Dollar Tree in…Continue reading Dollar Store Garden Party Placeholders

Dollar Store Butterfly Wreath

Although Mother Nature isn’t, I am so ready for warmer temperatures. Its been cold and gray here lately. To brighten my mood and perhaps give a nudge to spring, I decided to create this lovely butterfly wreath. I picked up the majority of my supplies at Dollar Tree. I grabbed a 10in. foam wreath, 12 packs of butterfly decorations and a bag of bright green moss while in store. The butterflies come in a variety…Continue reading Dollar Store Butterfly Wreath

Eggscuse Me Sign

For this weeks project, I initially was going to make an Easter egg out of ping pong balls similar to the Candy Corn Pingpong Ball Art I made this past Halloween. Then, I begin thinking about creating something that would be fun for Easter, but could stick around all year. This simplistic, yet bold sign with its cheeky saying is perfect displayed here amongst my Peeps Inspired Bunny Decorations. Once Easter is over, it’ll look great hanging in…Continue reading Eggscuse Me Sign
