Here’s what you’ll need:
  • 4 Cups Bird Seed
  • 3/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 3 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 package of Knox plain gelatin
  • Cooking Spray
  • Bundt Pan
  • Whisk
  • Large Spoon
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Ribbon (For Hanging)

First, in a mixing bowl stir the gelatin into 1/2 cup warm water until dissolved. Then, whisk in the corn syrup and flour. Mix until a paste is formed. It should look similar to the photo above.

Next, add four cups of bird seed to the paste mixture. Mix until completely combined.

Spray the inside of a bundt pan with non stick cooking spray for easy removal.

Scoop your bird seed mixture as evenly as possibly into the bundt pan. Use the back side of a large spoon to push down the bird seed and flatten out the backside of your wreath. Let dry for at least 24 hours.

Once dry, carefully flip the bundt pan over and the wreath should come right out. Tie a ribbon through the center and hang outside for the birds to enjoy!
Bird seed wreaths make wonderful gifts. It’s the perfect present for a housewarming or the holidays.
