Hello! Happy March. Wow, it’s been a minute since my last post! Thank you to all of you who follow me on Facebook and Instagram. I (try to) post on my social media accounts daily. As some of you know, after completing a year of weekly projects (MONDAYS WITH MARK), I took a break from posting regularly here. The good news is that I’ll be posting more often here again. Yes, new projects are on the way! You’ll be hearing from me at least once a month (if not more) starting in April.

I wanted to ease back into it with a little St. Patrick’s Day post. Back in June, I decorated this rainbow Treetopia wreath for Pride. Upon its arrival, I knew it would also make a great St. Patrick’s Day wreath. I mean other than green, what’s more St. Patrick’s Day than rainbows? This colorful wreath came together quickly with a few items from the dollar store and with supplies I had on hand.

I’m not going to bore you with too many details. For my Leprechaun, I cut his head/hat combo and arms out of foam board using a utility knife.

I used felt to hide the foam board, to create his face/arms and decorate him. I traced my hat/face/arms slightly larger to be able to glue around the backside of the foam board. I initially used tacky glue to adhere the pieces, but then realized hot glue was the way to go.

It was fun adding elements. An orange stripe of felt was a perfect accent for his hat.

I found googly eyes and furry felt to create his beard in my craft arsenal. I wrapped cotton batting inside a piece of felt to create his nose. Gold Mardi Gras beads made the perfect necklace for him.

I picked up foam gold coins and shamrocks from the dollar store to embellish the sides of my rainbow wreath. The Treetopia rainbow wreath really is the star of the show here!

I attached the foam pieces with floral wire.

Isn’t he just the cutest? And, that wreath! L. O. V. E. If you like this post, please SHARE. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone!
