In the upcoming weeks, I’ll be decorating numerous Christmas trees for my home and in the homes of my friends. Each tree will have a specific theme/color scheme and I will be sharing ornament tutorials here on the blog.
To officially kick off the Christmas crafting season, I thought I would share some of the Christmas trees I created over the years.

This Art Deco inspired tree was in my living room last year. I handmade the paper medallion ornaments and chain. It’s one of my all time favorites.
This cat themed tree was so fun to decorate. All of the cats, yarn balls and tree topper were handmade. I think it’s purrfect!
I called this the “Home for the Holidays” tree. Oversized paper snowflakes and woodland creatures adorned this tree. I love the red, green and blue color scheme.
It was a Hard Candy Christmas for my friend a few years back. The garland was created by hot gluing wrapped peppermints together. I also made the large wrapped candies, peppermint hearts and the ice cream cone ornaments.
I’m really proud of this tree because it was completely decorated from items purchased at the dollar store! Definitely a lot of bang for under $100!
This peacock tree was definitely a hit and that tree topper was a showstopper.
This tree smelled amazing! Homemade cinnamon applesauce ornaments, dried oranges and popcorn strands make this tree simply delicious. Please disregard the ugly mini blinds in the background.
To see additional photos of the above trees or check out more trees I’ve decorated, check them out here on the Slumbering Alligator Facebook page.
I hope this posting has you feeling inspired. Stay tuned for more Christmas posts!
