The other day while I was perusing the aisles at Dollar Tree, I came across these cheery sunshine cutouts in the teacher section. Unless you are a teacher, you most likely overlook this section, but it is filled with super cute cutouts that are perfect for banner making.

Perhaps, I was drawn to them since there’s been a serious lack of sunshine here lately. I just love their big smiles.

I swooped them up along with a bag of bright colored pom poms and a package of paper straws to make a happy little banner.

First, I punched holes in the top sides of the sunshine cutouts.

Then, I cut a handful of straws into threes. Super simple!

I had some yellow yarn on hand that was perfect for stringing my pieces on.

The sunshine is shining inside! Hopefully, it will be outside soon!
