Let’s be honest. Candy corn is nasty tasting, but so adorable to look at it! I filled this jar up about a month ago and have only ate about three of them. Anyways, their good looks inspired me to make these candy corn topiaries.

This craft is perfect if you are in need of some last minute Halloween decor. A forest of these candy corn topiaries would make a wonderful centerpiece.

  • Here’s what you’ll need to make one-
  • Styrofoam Cone
  • Orange, Yellow and White Crepe paper
  • Aleene’s Tacky Glue
  • Scissors
  • Fringing Scissors

The first thing I did was create a crepe paper under layer. This way none of the Styrofoam cone will show in the end.

I used Aleene’s tacky glue to apply the crepe paper strips. Start at the base of your cone and work your way up starting with yellow, then orange and finally white.

The size of your cone will determine the number of strips needed. On this medium sized cone I used two yellow strips, two orange and one white.

Next, fringe strips of each color of crepe paper using fringing scissors. You could create fringe with regular scissors if you don’t have a fringing pair on hand. However, I highly recommend fringing scissors!

Wrap and glue down fringed strips over their corresponding underlay color.

Once again, start from the bottom and work your way to the top until your candy corn cone is completed. That’s it! Easy peasy!

Cuteness overload!
