I created it using items I picked up at Dollar Tree. While shopping, I grabbed a styrofoam wreath, nine faux pink rose bunches, two packs of pink glittery heart picks and a Valentine’s scarf. You’ll also need a hot glue gun/glue sticks and a pair of scissors for this project.
First, remove all the roses from their stems. They just pop right off.
Begin poking the roses into the top center portion of the wreath. A dab of hot glue on the stems keeps them perfectly in place.
Continue adding until the top portion is complete.
Next, fill in the sides and center of the wreath with the remaining roses.
I think it is lovely just like this, but I wanted to take it up a notch!
I tied the scarf into a big floppy bow and attached it at an angle to the wreath with a little hot glue.
Lastly, I trimmed the heart picks and poked them throughout the wreath in small groupings.
Too cute!
Stay tuned! Next week, I have another dollar store wreath in store.
Beautiful!! And I love that your Dollar Tree crafts are readily available at our local branches. This would be great modified for: each season, July 4th & Memorial Day,
Christmas, New Years, Birthdays…the list goes on! You rock!!!
Thanks, Donna! Yes, lots of possibilities here. I actually have another Dollar Tree wreath coming up on Monday. I also made a similar one last year for St. Patrick’s Day. You can find it here on my site.
