This Leaf Bowl showcases one of my favorite things about fall- COLORS.

The inside of the bowl is as glorious as the out! I love how it looks here displayed on the table next to my Autumn Leaves Candle Holders.

Supplies:
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam Brush
  • Balloon
  • Bowl (to hold balloon in)
  • Fabric Leaves w/o steams (I got these for the dollar store)

First, blow up the balloon to desired bowl size and place tied side down in an actual bowl for stability.

Then, one leaf at a time, brush both sides with Mod Podge and begin applying them to the balloon.

I also brushed Mod Podge onto the balloon itself before applying my leaves. Start at the center of the balloon and form the bottom of the bowl. Overlap the leaves to avoid gaps.

Continue adding leaves until desired bowl shape is completed.

Let dry for an hour. See that pumpkin in the distance? Get a better look here.
Then, apply a top coat of Mod Podge over all the leaves again. Let dry until all the glue becomes clear. Then, pop the balloon to reveal your bowl. If you pop your balloon and your leaf bowl caves in on itself, don’t fear- just open your leaf bowl up to reveal it’s beauty.

Now it’s ready to be filled with soup! Just kidding. Don’t fill with soup! This leaf bowl looks great on it’s own or filled with decorative items or wrapped treats.

More fall crafts are on the way! Stay tuned.
