Almost every year, I decorate my friends Christmas tree. We’ve done a lot of wild themes over the years. This year he requested his tree be decorated like a giant pineapple and covered in fruit! He loves pineapples. It’s his thing, currently. He has pineapple decor, tote bags and clothing. So, this pineapple tree is very fitting.

At first, I wasn’t sold on this idea, but he insisted. I’m glad he did! I love how it turned out.

The fruit ornaments were super simple to make. My friend ordered a case of faux fruit from Dollar Tree for $36! The grapes weren’t included in the box. He grabbed those in store.

I hot glued a piece of twine to each piece of fruit for easy hanging.

Then, one at a time, I sprayed them with spray glue and covered them in chunky clear glitter.

They were the perfect ornamentation for the pineapple tree. They would look great on a kitchen tree or in any garland. Without hangers, the glittered fruit would look wonderful in a decorative bowl.

The diamond pattern was created with yellow deco mesh and is what really sells the pineapple theme!  The faux palm frond topper seals the deal.

Fruity fabulousness!
